Default Stupid question

Hi all,

I 'accidentally' took out the len from my 35 mm camera body. Did it
ruin the film inside already?

Thanks!

No. The shutter curtain was closed. Opening the back without having
rewound the film back into the cassette will ruin it. Changing lenses
won't.

Unless its a rangefinder with a leaf shutter in the lens.

Even if it was, it would only ruin 3 to 5 shots and not the whole roll.

It is much more likely it was an SLR.
