Pentax Optio S 5i
I recently purchased an Optio S 5i and notice that there is more "noise" on
the LCD screen when operating in low light conditions than on my previous model Optio S 4i. The images taken with this camera are fine and do not display any noise. Has anyone noticed this? -mij |

Because the exposure for each preview image must be less than the screen refresh interval, it may appear noisy in low-light conditions. I would expect the actual exposure of the final image to be somewhat longer than the screen refresh interval (say 1/10s instead of 1/30s), and thus have less noise. Does that agree with aht you are seeing? Cheers, David |
