Benefits of SD or CF memory?

Is there an advantage to one over the other? Is picture quality affected?

Besides format factor, there is no operational difference.

SD has a hardware write tab.

SD is going to be the dominant card in smaller cameras.

I wouldn't touch Sony or XD products as yet.

CF is available in higher capacities, at lower cost per byte.

By fractions of a cent sometimes, mostly they are the same price, larger yes
but 4 Gig SD is still pretty good how big did you need?

I was just looking at some memory. For SanDisk Ultra II 512MB the CF is
US$20 less than the SD. At CompUSA anyway.
