Default Nikon software...

The software that comes with the D70. Does anyone recommend to use this
software? Obviously if you are shooting raw I think you need this
software...but if you're not and just shooting JPG, is this software any
good? I normally use Photoshop for all my post shooting editing. And some
times, Paint Shop Pro when I need to do minor, small changes. Just curious
to see if anyone else uses it.

If you use Photoshop CS then you can download the raw plug-in unless you
have a need for the few things that the Nikon software can do with regard to
batch processing or using custom curves.
You can also get the Adobe digital negative converter if you prefer to use
that format.

You can play around with the remote control for studio shooting or to
experiment with different settings while on a tripod you can change
anything without touching the camera. This is kind a nice way to get to
know the settings without the LCD menu, on easier drop down full screen
menus. You can save different configurations too. But that's all just
for playing around.
