Hi,

I have a Canon EOS-1 I picked up used recently (first foray into AF).
It's working out great with a 50/1.4 prime lens and I'm very happy
with it, apart from one thing:

The AF sensor mark and the spot and partial metering circles on the
viewfinder screen are incredibly difficult to see. They're nearly
invisible unless viewing a very strongly lit, totally out of focus
scene.

Hi I had a similar problem with the T90. With the 50mm f1.4 lens the screen
is so bright that it is hard to see the focus aid.
Try a Microprism screen (Type A) or a Cross Split-image screen (Type L). You
may be able to find these second-hand or as old stock. I just bought a brand
new Type L for an EOS RT - found it simply by plodding around the shops.

Regards, Ian.
