Default For Sale: Nikon Coolpix 5000 Astrophotography Setup

Complete Nikon CoolPix 5000 Astrophotography Setup:

I've added some new cameras to my inventory and I need to reduce the
count before my wife kills me. So, I'm selling my complete CoolPix
astrophotography package. Incidentally, the CoolPix 5000 is a great
terrestrial camera too.

The CoolPix 5000 works very well for astrophotography. The LCD is
fully articulated and swivels out from the body which is excellent for
viewing when attached to a telescope (at all different eyepiece
heights and positions). This LCD screen arrangement also has the
extra benefit of removing a source of heat from the camera body so you
can use the LCD and not add noise to your images.

The ScopeTronix eyepieces are excellent. They're threaded on the end
and have removable eyecups. The camera threads directly onto the
eyepiece for a rock solid connection. The eyepieces are excellent
with very wide fields of view. They're also specialy desiged with the
lens element as close to the end of the body as possible to
significantly reduce vignetting. The MaxView 40 is also adjustable
for variable eyepiece projection. The AdaptaView U allows a rigid
connection to most other eyepieces, including TeleVue.

The camera is complete and in the original box with all original
cables, documentation, etc. The Harbortronics DigiSnap is also
complete. All other items are in excellent condition.

This has been a great setup and it's everything you need (besides a
telescope) to get going and take excellent pictures.

I'm asking $695 for the entire package, which is a smoking deal. If
you have any questions, please let me know.

I also have a CrystalVue 8x monocular for sale. It can be used on
it's own, or threaded to the CoolPix for an awesome 24x lens. It
works very well. I'll sell this on it's own for $130 or for $125 with
the whole package.

Thanks for looking!
