Flash not going off OM10 + Quantaray QB350a
I got these from two different sources. The flash goes off when I use
the button on the flash, and it sits well in the shoe. It doesn't go off when I take a picture with the OM10. Am I missing something? |

m... I got these from two different sources. I guess you mean you just bought them or you've never tried to use them together before.. The flash trigger circuit in some cameras can be damaged by flashes that have high switching voltages. The Quantaray QB350a has 130 volt switch voltage. Look he http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html Read my thread in this NG titled "Your flash can damage your camera!" he You may have to contact your camera manufacturer (at their web site) and ask what the maximum voltage is that your camera can tolerate. Do you have another flash that you can try on that body? Do you have another body that you have successfully used this flash with in the past that you could try the flash with now? Good luck. |
