Default modifying an OM-1... just a bit.

Anyone know how hard it would be to open up an OM-1 and unlink the
shutter from the mechanism that closes the auto aperture on the lens?
I just want the shutter to fire, nothing else. Do I risk really
messing up the camera, or would it be pretty straight forward?

TIA,

Jamie J.

I have no idea why you want to do that, but it would be much easier to
just use a non-automatic (preset) lens (something with a T-mount). Since a
preset lens has to be closed down by the camera user and is not closed
down by the camera itself, you accomplish the same thing without having to
modify the camera. And preset lenses are very cheap these days.
