FA: "Photo Synthesis" Unique Photography by Jerry Uelsmann
Jerry Uelsmann is better than Photoshop.
Every kid in the U.S. can now superimpose images on his computer and print them on his inkjet. Jerry Uelsmann did the hard way -- with negatives in a darkroom. So why don't we see thousands of beautiful, poetic Uelsmann-like images created in Photoshop? It seems to me that there are two reasons: 1. The beauty of silver photography itself, and 2. The poetic mind of Jerry Uelsmann "Photo Synthesis" is a large (9 X 12 inch) paperbound book published by the University of Florida Press. In its 114 pages, are collected some of Uelsmann's best work -- with a lengthy forward by critic, A.D. Coleman. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=4595346172 |
