DPReview says that Rokton has developed a round sensor that is 43 mm in
diameter -- the same as the diagonal on 35 mm frame. They plan on
putting it in their new mirrorless DSLR that will have interchangeable
lens mounts -- you will be able to use nearly every lens for 35 mm
cameras ever made.

Yes, I know.

Great news, their 12-400mm f/1.8-f/2 lens is the best.

Especially useful for those fisheye lenses. I hope high-street printers
will follow by offering round prints. Can't wait for a round monitor
with an inbuilt camera - it can double as a bathroom mirror.

Yeah, but $600 for a lens hood is a bit much. Fortunately, the cup from
a Starbucks "Plenta" fits perfectly.

I have a feeling it will be April 1, 2010 all day.

Unfortunately, no. Due to the tight economy worldwide, the G20 nations
have agreed that April 1 will last only 12 hours.

I was wondering whether to post that or not...

OH! Curses!
That means we might not get the prank from "He who shall remain
nameless" telling us he has moved on from his P&S and CHDK, and bought
a D3s, or 1D MkIV.

BTW, G20? Isn't that the G14.5 now?
Currently chaired by The Duchy of Grand Fenwick.

I find it built a bit too light though. Too much plastic maybe?

Pretty clever. But dpreview has removed the announcement from their
site. Funny thing, it lasted only one day.
