As a photograph, I would say it's nicely done.

The building and horizon lines do not look straight to me. I have a
preference for using a vignette to darken the edges thereby making it
easier for the viewer to look at the subject.

The lines are as straight as LR can easily make them.

Did you try the 'Upright Filter' in LR?

Here is what using the 'Upright Filter' in ACR did.

Duck, I like the photographs but they all seem a trifle dull to me.
And I've just recalibrated my screens.

How do the Drop Box images look, compared with the ones you sent off?

Don't worry about it. They were shot with the Fuji and I used the
Fujifilm 'Classic Chrome' LR Camera Calibration. I guess if I had used
something else you wouldn't have noticed.

For example I changed this shot from 'Classic Chrome' to 'Astia', with
no other adjustment. I could have left it at Adobe Standard, or
something else.

look to you?

Fine.

Try this:

Better, but it still doesn't look right to me.

OK! To get your head out of that particular shot here is a similar one
of the pier and beach, with my head doing different things.

Here is a JPG showing what I have done to it
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/31088803/Erics.jpg

I see that it is brighter.

I've tried sending you a PSD showing what I have done but none of the
details show up https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/31088803/Erics.psd

Basically all I was apply a curve with a slight kick up at the lower
end and increase the brightness and contrast a tad.

The curve adjustment shows, but the brightness/contrast doesn't. That
particular image didn't need that much of a bump. Some of the others
probably do.

As a matter of interest, do you know the Gamma and Temperature to
which your screen is adjusted?

( - and what about your eyeballs? :-)

Actually what you got was upright^2. It might have more or less
squared it off within the frame but the perspective doen't look right.
