What Ball Head Do I have?

Bought a large ball head at an auction the other day and am not sure
what I have. It weighs, with plate, about 2.2 pounds and the base is
3" in diameter. See

On the base the id 2C035 is etched. Says Made in USA and in small
letter P.E. Forster. On the ball release handle there is a tiny script
that says Kirr, or Kikk, or Kirk, or even Kikr. I thought it might be
an early Kirk, but the script is barely legible and the last two
letters look identical.

Second question is whether the plate is of Arca Swiss design (I have
never seen one up close before).

Looks like an A-S plate to me.

The head looks similar to some of the Foba's except for the "made in
USA".

On the ball release handle there is a tiny script

Probably "Kirk", but maybe just a replacement handle, which I think
they sell? You might email Kirk and ask if you don't get a definitive
answer from the NG's.
