Sort of, there are at least two Digital SLR Cameras out there from
Olympus the E-10 and E-20 neither of which had interchangeable lenses.

Those are ZLRs.

Yes they are - and they are also SLR. ZLR is Olympus name
for an SLR camera with a non interchangable zoom lens.

The term ZLR came about when Olympus brought out the IS series. This
differentiated them from the OM series and its competitors. They were still
Single Lens Reflex; one lens with a reflecting mirror. The term now seems
to be for cameras with an electronic viewfinder; Nikon 8700, Olympus 8080,
etc. The Olympus E10 and E20, as well as the old C2500i, no longer fit in
the ZLR category.
I have never liked the P&S category. With today's automation, almost every
camera is a Point&Shoot.

Yepp - thats correct.

Hmmmm ... we will see. I am not so sure that this misinformation
will win in the long run. The E10 etc are ZLR. The new and faulty
naming is not all that clever. Rather dunmb really.

Yepp - thats entirely correct.

The old and useful definition of P&S is cameras
that you only can P&S with. Now it seems that many
(totally faulty) calls anything that is small and
cheap(ish) for P&S. That is of course useless. If
we are lucky this strange notion will not survive
the tooth of time.
