And, Stacey, it wasn't me saying that.

Actually, he pretty much said the same thing in another forum, and at the
same time he was extolling the reasonably high quality of the lenses.

"Reasonably"? Or "relatively"? Ans in: relative to what you pay for them.

The only thing Kiev seems to have going for them is cheapness.
Now if only i could get Stacey to understand that, while "cheapness" is a
quality, it's not the same thing people mean when talking about quality.

With all due respect, Q.G., you're seeking your allies in really strange
quarters, lately. I for one find it more than a trifle odd that you deem
it necessary to team up with notorious spammers to drive home your point
in an argument that can no longer be won by any of the parties, anyway.
At least not on the friendly terms all of us have been enjoying here,
most of the time.

Do you really think this is a wise move after all those years you've
spent as a respected member on this group?

Like all knockoffs, the people that buy them tend to fantasize that they
have the "real thing."

Think about those fake Rolex watches that people are always buying and
wearing. Or those phony cubic zirconium "diamonds" that women wear. They
flash 3-carat rings and think they are fooling someone.

Classic fountain pens have quite a following among collectors, and there
have lately been a number of cheap imitations made in China, being sold on
eBay and represented as being the genuine item. Have a look at this
article, about phony "Parker Pens"
