Default E6 reversal chemistry

Someone can help me to understand what a E6 reversal chemistry means...when you
develolp a regular color film with E6 reversal chemistry as a result the
picture comes out like a Kodalith but in color .\
pleasse help.

There is no
negative created, just a transparent original "slide".


I think that is incorrect. The emulsion is first processed to a B&W negative.
Then subsequent processing activates the dye couplers in proportion to the
extent each of the color layers was exposed. At the end of the processing, the
silver image is removed from the emulsion, leaving only the dye (color) image.
