New pentax dslr

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has heard or knows details in regards to the
new pentax dslr (k20d) being released.
Is this still a rumour or is it actually available, or has a release
date being announced?

I'm in the process of choosing a dslr and thought perhaps a k10d might
be a good choice, especially if a new pentax will be released, the
prices of it (k10d) might come down..

I saw a few ISO 1600 samples, a lot more noise than the 40D and the D300.
Probably noisier than the K10D at ISO 1600 (14mp on a 1.5 sensor is probably
too much for Samsung)

yeah beta firmware will process RAW much better, lol. Damn Pentaxian.

I don't know what ISO 1600 samples you saw, but all the K20D ones I've seen
have been lower noise than any of the 10MP cameras even with the 4 level
noise reduction set to off. The firmware's still being developed and
release is a few weeks off. I have a feeling this 14.6MP Samsung sensor
will be something special (for the money), its photosites are the same size
as the opposition's 12MP sensors.

Then you did see K20D samples. Far less noise than the camera you mentioned
including the K10D. You must be a Canon or Nikon hugger/nut.

Brain washed ass licker thinks Canon and Nikon makes good cameras. Neither
company has had an innovative product in a decade. Pull your lens out of
your ass will ya.
