Default Ebay becoming a joke (A long rant)

I have always been a big fan of Ebay. I have traded there with
ordinary honest people without some piece of garbage trying to rip me
off. But i think that now it is becoming a joke. it seems that they
will take any advert without any checking whatsoever.Go down the list
of Canon 1d and the rip off merchants have multiple ads for instance
the latest is new 1D for the (wait for it) buy it now price of $360
Australian and you get a US$500 rebate. Look at this joker's list of
other articles and he has dozens of articles all for the same price.
I know that one would be out of his tree to reply to these ads but
there are some very gullible people around .There is a very good
reason why the Nigerian scam is still around. It sucks people in.
You cannot even trust some Ebay stores. Theres one with hundreds of
stars promoting dozens of high end plasmas ,laptops, cameras etc for an
opening bid of $3 . This ad was running for 2 days only .There is no
way that these are genuine. They have a private listing of bidders. I
presume that they are after the contact addresses so that they can
prey on the gullible.
Complain to Ebay you say. Have you ever tried it? Instead of a simple
header that you could click on you have to wander around looking for
where to start after that there are numerous vague questions they ask
before you eventually get to filing your complaint. You cannot enter
into any dialogue as you are only in contact with a computerised
message.
Ebay has got to act, it is a huge money making venture but their
policy at the moment will evetually kill the golden goose.

I think with the amount of listings for auction made every minute, the
charges for each auction would be huge if they were to employ enough people
to scan through and filter out the suss ads etc.

But you are right, it is getting harder and harder to use eBay effectively.
Another hobby of mine is radio controlled cars with the purpose of racing
them. This is covered in the hobbies section under radio controlled, and
then cars. Once it was fine, go down the list to see what is available, now
its just page after page of cheap toys, which should be in a category of
toys. Unless you type in the search the exact item name of what you want and
hit the jackpot, its harder to have a browse around the marketplace.
