Minolta Maxxum 430si broken film door fixable?

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to fix (and if so how, short of a
professional camera shop) a broken film door on a Minolta Maxxum
430si? The plastic tabs on the door, which "catch" on a spring-loaded
clip in the body to keep the door shut have broken off. I'm really
miffed that such a crucial piece of the body is made out of a very
breakable plastic, too. I love this camera but can't use it. A minor
drop from about 18" onto a carpeted floor caused the break.

Any help appreciated.

Find a used body for sale (pawn shops, used camera stores), and
use it instead ... keep the current one for future spare parts.

Check if the whole door is replaceable (if the hinge is removable; it
sohuld be). Then scourge ebay for a more broken 400/430/500si and buy it.
Replace the door. Live happily ever after ;-)
