Mark, this is DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY. It is not HD TV I suggest that
if
you want information on HD TV you go to their newsgroup. I hope you
don't
go to the Photoshop to buy you milk and corn flakes.

I don't think it's off topic at all. Some HDTV sets have memory slots for
flash cards and/or DVI connections so you can connect a computer to them.
At some point, I'd like a nice, high-res HDTV for digital photo viewing.
And, by the way, I think DLP sets have better images than LCD projection
sets (though not LCD direct-view sets, but those aren't available in large
sizes). But the best way to choose is with your eyes -- wander down to
Best
Buy and compare the DLP and LCD sets yourself.

I have an HD Plasma set. Looks great in HD. I have not bothered to
drive it from the computer.

The fact that you can view photos on the TV doesn't make it related to photography.

Who cares, Plasma sucks, its like looking through a screen door, the pixels
are tooo big so it runs the HDTV quality, the LCDs and DLPs are much better.

You would be right if he had asked about viewing digital images on HDTV, but
he didn't. Besides, he'll get better answers on a HDTV group.

That would be what you see when you use a projector, not a decent plasma.

Not on a decent plasma.

Rant on. More feedback the better.
thanks

DLP looks fabulous, however, I did not have room for one. Note, DLP
only looks fabulous in a narrow cone directly in front of the screen.

CCD looks very good and I found one that fit my existing cabinetry.
Note LCD only looks very good in a 30 degree cone directly in front
of the screen. This is about twice as wide as DLP.
