Simplified:
- full-frame sensors are available in top of the line cameras
- small-sized cameras are entry level bottom of the line cameras
So you have the choice between either-or but not both.

Possibly sometime in the future. However at least in the past the
smallest and lightest dSLRs on the market were the D40, the D60, the
Rebel and one or two others. And all of them being entry level.

While I agree that cameras in general are becoming smaller and lighter,
I still believe that middle and top of the line will remain larger and
heaver than their bottom of the line contemporaries.

5D (850 gm) = A900 (895 gm) = D700 (1074 gm).

What unit it "gm"? Gram meter doesn't make much sense, gigameter even
less and would be abbreivated as Gm anyway....

It's part of the DGC (dpi/gm/cubit) system.
