I like the compositions shooting through the rope/chain ports (forgive
me if I don't know that nautical terms), esp. the first of the three.

The second one has that great ring of warm light on its edges that is
very strong, unfortunately the far side subject is too weak.

The third one, I think you were trying too hard with the statue and the
whichmahoozitz for the rope.

They are too dark for screen view. They would be fine, properly printed
on glossy paper and viewed in sunlight.

Nonsense. I downloaded via screengrab three random images and checked
their histograms. These images are not too dark - the entire range from
0 to 255 is covered.

Ho hum. Another idiot who believes that measurements are more important
than taste. I opened a scan of Rembrandt's "The Night Watch" (a very
accurate scan) into Paint Shop Pro and looked at its histogram. Too dark!
Rembrandt should have trashed it, according to these know nothings. I'm
sure, though, that it will continue to be on display and reproduced quite
often, as will most of Rembrandt's oils, in spite of the fact that most
would also fail the histogram test.

Thanks Allen. I was hoping to be rid of this stalker, but I still see
reactions to him :-(
I think he's green and yellow with envy, because he just can't stop
criticizing.
If the horizon is straight, the composition is good, then he'll find
something else.
Just think a minute about his obsession: he has to find and steal a picture
of me, then load it into a program to see the histogram !
I bet the last picture (the night beach) really sucks as far as the
histogram goes, LOL!

I got a Spyder2 calibration set and finally I got the colors spot on.
If I print a picture on my (also new) Epson DX4400, the colors are exactly
as they are on the screen.

Still, on my (now calibrated ;-) LCD screen, the colors look exactly as I
want them. But they are not too dark. If anyone has a problem with them,
it's possible they need calibration too.
Not trying to be a smart ass, but it really helped me a lot. I tried many of
those on-screen-do-it-with-your-eyes-things, but they just don't work.

Now I'm waiting for some sun! Blast! It's terrible. More global warming
please: I'm freezing in Portugal ;-|)
