Default a portrait - Ellen DeGeneres

I've always found DeGeneres to have one of the most interesting faces in
the E crowd. This quirky portrait highlights her eyes beautifully.

I take you're not a fan? This is about the photo, not the person.

I gotta say that pic makes her eyes look freaky, like they dialated her
eyes then used a high powered ring light or something. Ah, OK there's a
catch light right in the center of the pupils...

Ugh. It 'highlights' that her eyes are too small for her head, or her
head too large for the eyes if you prefer. I would have lit it to
de-accentuate that "feature."

Exactly.

I am not particularly bothered by Ellen one way or another. I found her
quite amusing as a stand-up comedian. As far as her current day time
show, and karaoke competition judge reinvention goes, I am not a fan of
either of those shows.

....but that photograph, with that bug-eyed expression, I do not find
particularly appealing, or as you describe it, "quirky". More like
scary.

They made her look like she is possessed by a demon.

Well, that's a good thing!

I'm willing to believe a lot of things, Alan, but I don't believe you took
that picture.

On the monitor, it doesn't look good. However, if you take a few steps
back...
