150mp for medium format. FF now lags seriously behind
On Aug 28, 2018, RichA wrote
(in ): Yes, the Phase One camera costs a mint, $50,000. But it's pretty likely 100mp sensors will migrate-down in short order to Hasselblad, Fuji and maybe Pentax. m4/3rds is at 20mp which is the same density as 80mp FF but APS and FF continue to lag behind by a bit. Fujifilm is already there for 100MP. The GFX-100S is scheduled for 2019 delivery at about $9,000. https://www.thephoblographer.com/2017/12/08/fujifilm-gfx100s-reports/ ....and for affordable MF the GFX-50R (an X-Pro on steroid) around $3,500 to be announced at Photokina. Speculation has that price possibly moving to $2,500. -- Regards, Savageduck |

In about 1965 I paid £2 for four low-noise transistors for a gramaphone preamp that I was building. That was the pay for a full day pumping gas, as a schoolboy. |

Now then, now then, is that what jimmy called it back then ? Selling petrol. I just translated it into American for the convenience of most of the posters! |
