Default Nikon Capture NX Incompatible with Leopard

Nikon sent me a notice saying that Capture NX is incompatible with Mac
OS X 10.5 Leopard. They are working on a fix, but you should not use
Capture NX because it can corrupt files when saving them. Good ol'
Nikon. Why can't they just save files the way everyone else does?

Typical Mac Fanboy: Apple yet again makes arbitrary and non-backward
compatible changes to hardware or OS and users blame everyone but Apple.
Well, anyone dumb enough to pay what Apple charges for low end Intel
hardware deserves what they get.

Nobody but Nikon seems to be having this problem. Nikon seems to have
rather frequent compatibility problems with its software no matter what
OS it is running on. I might point out that for several months Capture
NX was not compatible with Vista, either.

Anybody who wastes their money for cheap hardware to run Windows, in
particular Vista, is a loser.

Backwards compatibility is what made Microsoft windows the DOG it is today.
You should applaud Apple for their forward thinking in making progress in
their OS.

Incidentally I use Windows.

Interpreted by a fellow Aussie who understands his lingo, Pete means...

"WTF? I don't have any problems with my unbalanced RAM that only cost me $80
a gig. The no name motherboard I got for $60 off eBay doesn't crash on my
pirate software either... What's all this crap about Vista? What's Vista
anyway? I always go for Panos, those Vistas are way too hard to make
anyway."

If there are three levels of intelligence with the highest 1, Pete will go
looking for the Forth every time!

Cheap hardware probably means shoddy drivers or unreliable hardware, both
of which are best avoided in any computer.

Certainly is. Considering how many ignorant losers throw out perfectly
good hardware by following the advice of some fool you ought to be
able to get most of the kit you need for nothing.

Apple made a decision not to release specs on the software too late
for a lot of companies to respond, a lot of printer drivers and
scanners are having problems with 10.5, not just Nikon. Nikon did push
software development onto NIK software, a small company so that
probably figures into the equation too. I do find it humerous that
when Apple brings out an OS rewrite, no one gets on them about
releasing the code too late, it is an Apple problem not Nikon.
