Default Kann FZ30-RAW nicht verarbeiten

Hallo -

ich habe mir gerade die FZ30 gekauft und bin sehr zufrieden.
Wie bei meiner alten Canon-G3 habe ich RAW-Bilder aufgenommen
und finde keine Konvertierungs-Software! :-S

Die beiden mitgelieferten Programme "Simple Viewer" und
"PhotoFunStudio" bieten mir doch tatsächlich keine Möglichkeit
dafür oder habe ich etwas übersehen?

Welche Software konvertiert mir diese Dateien z. B. in TIFF?
Ich weiß, Photoshop CS2 soll das schaffen, nur habe ich es
nicht. :-(

Gruß Udo

Do Panasonic not provide software with the FZ30 to convert RAW into other
formats?

Oh, I have to apologize for writing german text!
Short before I read a german group and did not recognize
that this one uses english.

Translated: Is there a converter software for the Panasonic
FZ30 RAW format to TIFF?
I know that Photoshop CS2 shall be able to convert this
but I don't own it. :-(

Panasonic delivers a RAW converter but only for conversion to
8 bit JPG. This seems to be useless because RAW should give the
raw data which means e.g. 16 bit TIFFs as Canon does. Then only
12 bit per color are significant but this is better for
manipulations as you will know.

Ah, that sounds typical! You could try RawShooter Essentials:

http://www.pixmantec.com/products/ra...ssentials.html

If they don't support the FZ30 today, send them a sample RAW file and they
may well update their software. They did that for the Nikon 8400 so they
do listen.

Cheers,
David

You can do it with Photoshop Elements 3.0 with the plug-in from Adobe.
That's what I am using.

Hi David -

Thanks for the advice. I tried to install RawShooter Essentials
but they tell that their software is for Windows-XP or -2000.
I still have 98SE. So, I have to search furtheron.

Thanks again, Ed.
Meanwhile I found that even Photoshop Elements 3 does not
run with Windows-98SE which I use. So, there is still
no possibility besides paying a lot for another system.

Windows 98 is seven years old. If you're not willing to upgrade a 7
year old system you really shouldn't be using computers.

AMEN!
