Can't find the CD. I want to install the software on a new laptop, but
can't find the CD. The Canon web site only offers an update that depends
on having the original either installed or on the CD. The blurb implies
that the program can be downloaded, but the link offered is just for
drivers.

I think I may have found it online.

Be careful of infested files. You can get the full version easily from
Canon easily. Register for a free account if you don't already have
one. Go to support for your camera and downloads. Select the utilities.
As I recall, you will need to enter your camera serial number. No prior
disk installation necessary.

The problem I was having was there was no complete installation available
for W10. I had to get the one for W8 and upgrade it.

Sorry, I was thinking Macintosh, not Windows. When I think of digital
photography I always think of Macintosh
