D70 Light Meter Issues
I have a 2 year old D70 that recently started misbehaving badly. It
seems as though the light meter underexposes everything by about 5 stops or so, and even if I can match the offset with exposure compensation, it's not consistant. What I mean by that is that if I find the balance for the EV rating indoors and compensate for that, when I go outside I'll have to re-balance the offset. I've tried all sorts of resets and different program settings, as well as updating the firmware. The Nikon rep I got at the support number was flat-out rude and was little help. I have two questions: First, has anyone else had this problem and found a viable solution? Second, how does one go about getting a repair? Are there shops that handle digital equiment, and are there any recommended ones at that? Thanks in advance for your help, J |

Needed a new processor. 2 months repair! |

Call Nikon or take it to a local decent Nikon dealer. -- Jim |

I also think the D70 has a reset button on it. I'm always changing my settings and forgetting to change them back, not that that's your problem. |
