My private member ftp site works. Usenet works. My time server app works. None of my web links work. I ping foxnews.com and I get this: Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601] Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Obviously My time server app works. OK None of my web links work. I ping foxnews.com and I get this: I think I see your problem. Try a different browser and an alternate news service. Say something such as http://www.reuters.com Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601] Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. wrote: Help!! Has anyone noticed any internet web problems? no My pop3 accounts work. for some definition of work. switch to imap. pop is long obsolete. My private member ftp site works. for pirated apps... Usenet works. My time server app works. ok None of my web links work. then it's likely at their end. I ping foxnews.com and I get this: Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601] Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. that's also part of your problem. Q:\Windows\System32ping foxnews.com Pinging foxnews.com [23.72.137.128] with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 23.72.137.128: bytes=32 time=30ms TTL=57 Reply from 23.72.137.128: bytes=32 time=29ms TTL=57 Reply from 23.72.137.128: bytes=32 time=30ms TTL=57 Reply from 23.72.137.128: bytes=32 time=29ms TTL=57 Ping statistics for 23.72.137.128: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 29ms, Maximum = 30ms, Average = 29ms noting wrong there. try: http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com |

None of four of my browsers worked. I turned on my second computer and it worked fine. Thought maybe a router problem until I rebooted. I still wonder what the problem was. Not that it really matters. Geez...This box is only 12 years old but it's still faster and better than my sister's new Toshiba lap tops. :-) |
