His versions of "King Kong", "How Would You Like to Hav e a Head Like That?" and "Music for Electric Violin and Low Budget Orchestra" are simply amazing. I saw J-L P open for Supertramp .... oh, so long ago... I saw him at some outdoor venue on a summer night back in the day too. Might have seen him another time as well but, you know, things can be so hazy from that far back. I had a few of his records too though they no longer seem to be in what's left of the collection. I'm not familiar with the ones the Duck sited. Try this for size: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1295663/Fil...ing%20Kong.png ....and here is a taster. If you are familiar with Zappa's work he has done several live versions of this. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1295663/Fil...ing%20Kong.mp3 -- Regards, Savageduck |

It might have been more interesting to have the context what the bench was facing. I suppose the bench facing away from the view is a little distracting, but this was the best view from that location. It's not a "great" shot in my opinion, just one that I had that fit the furniture mandate. I'd pretty much figured it for a golf course but me, I'd be lookin' at the ocean. As far as golf bench shots, I'm still partial to this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/billkes...et-72157622351 890447/lightbox/ I need to go back and revisit the post-processing on that one. That shot has a nice feel to it too. I surely never know what to do when I get a big bland sky like that. -- Pat email: phartzATcoxDOTnet |

What I was really looking for was a couch or chair in a completely alien place for a couch or chair...on the beach, in the woods, or somewhere you wouldn't expect a couch or chair to be. Didn't find it, and I'm surprised no one else did. I did that for a past SI. http://www.pbase.com/shootin/image/146416090 Today, I was driving down a back road and saw an old overstuffed chair sitting in a lightly wooded area where someone had dumped it. I passed it by thinking "Where were you when I needed you?". -- Regards, Savageduck |
