Default Is Fuji Going More Plastic?

Just have a looksie: Fuji is moving some production to the Philippines,
and that's one thing but at the same time they replace data engraved on
the hardware with stickers. Sooo... What's happening on the inside of
these lenses?

Let me make myself clear on that I don't think that gear made in the
Philippines would be of less quality than gear made in Japan based on
the location of the production...

Why not? The whole idea is to cut-costs. Making it cheaper (labour and
parts) is part of that. Nikon's latest 10-20mm lens has a...plastic bayonet!
Never thought I'd see that in an ultrawide zoom.


That Nikkor is a DX lense... So you think that Fuji is lowering it's
standards to harmonize them with Nikons?
