Announcement
On 04/01/2017 05:45 PM, Tony Cooper wrote:
I am very pleased to announce that nospam and I have come to a binding agreement that we will no longer argue in this group. Concessions were made on both sides. nospam agreed to admit that he has been wrong on most issues over which we have contretemps, but I have agreed that most of his bogus positions have merely been the result of his inability to write what he means, and that he had the right idea but was unable to coherently present his point. As part of the negotiations, nospam gave me access to his entire body of photography even though he had to rather sheepishly reveal that he uses a file-and-folder system of organization. It turns out that he specializes in light-leak photography and mimicking Holga-like images in-camera with a modified DSLR. Quite interesting stuff, actually. I, in turn, provided him with a keyboard map showing the location of the SHIFT key and instructions on how and when to use it. I also provided him with some templates of how to provide useful information and positive input. To show good faith, the templates all described Apple products favorably and indicated - quite robustly - that Apple product prices are not that excessive when you compare the specs to reasonably priced products. In an unrelated note, I placed on eBay today an auction for a ridiculously large quantity of 50+ year old Canon FX cameras with a larger quantity of lenses. The starting bid is 99 cents for the lot, with free shipping. I plan to use the proceeds from the sale to buy a Vivitar ViviCam 7022 7.1 megapixel camera and a magenta ink tank for my Canon MR5220 printer. I want my photos to have the look of Kodacolor film that was stored in a car trunk in July, so I will only need magenta. -- Ken Hart |
