I have had enough Here's one to remind us that anyone can take a crappy pictu http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2006/holland/delft_china2.jpg Here's one to remind our P&S Troll that he simply has weak wrists: http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2007/aunt_dottie.jpg And here's a smattering of personal images that I decided at the time (for whatever reason) to have been personally interesting enough for me to take the time to bother to digitize and upload. As these were done for myself, it doesn't really matter to me if others like them or not, but hopefully you'll find one or two that you like: http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/old/geye.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/old/356in2b.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/old/puffer3.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/old/scorpionfish91.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/old/ys-canyon.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2000/brac/356pita.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2001/whales010615-1.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2002/galapagos/ sallylightfoot_021203.1-30_.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2002/galapagos/ wolf_cave_011206.2-13_a.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2002/germany/FerrySunset.JPG http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2002/germany/waterpost_020627_1_.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2003/california/ jelly2%20_030215.1-15_a.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2004...quare_grouper- small.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2004...cayman/lc_dry- pond(2384).jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2004/peru/ ollantaytambo_terraces(17_0798).jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2005/germany/tower(4+5)m+20_b+20.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2005/paris/notre_dame_05(3061).jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2005/paris/orsay_clock(3090).jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2005/paris/venus-(3046).jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2005/paris/versailles.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2006/brac/brac_sunrise(5044).jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2006/germany/dom_night1a.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2006/tanzania/hornbill_4175.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2006/tanzania/ crusty(20D_20060629_3352).jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2006/tanzania/ katavi_lion(20D_20060627_3135)c.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2006/tanzania/giraffe_2418.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2006...a/sunset-oops- s(20060628-16).jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2006/tanzania/ ruaha_rise(EOS_20060701_36).jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2006/tanzania/zebra_1014.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2006/tanzania/ mufindi_starry(20D_20060621_1437).jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2006/IMG_4348s.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2007/germany/300sl_gullwing-1.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2007/germany/ konigssee_st_bartholomew5968.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2007/hawaii/lava_7681c.jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2007...et/shenandoah- dusk2(IMG_5039).jpg http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2007/brac/ 071016-1-24%20school-2ss.jpg FYI, equipment on the above varied widely and includes both Nikon & Canon, SLR, Rangefinder and P&S, 35mm, 120 film... prints & slides, as well as digital sensors, Windows & Macintosh, etc, etc. If you have a question on any particular image, just ask. -hh |

I like your photo of the Mercedes 300SL gullwing. There are not many
of these left in the world and I've had the pleasure of driving one. This is a very expensive vehicle. http://www.huntzinger.com/photo/2007...gullwing-1.jpg |

Post your pictures or shut up. I have had enough Fine. http://picasaweb.google.com/soundy106 Some good, some bad. Whatever. If I posted every one of them with a "ZOMG THIS IS THE BEST SHOT EVAR, MY 300D OWNZ YOU ALL!" however, I'd probably attract the same derision as Rita does. The problem with Rita, you see, is not the quality (or lack thereof) of the pictures... it's the heaps of bull**** that they come with. Most irritating is that despite constantly bashing Brett's (Annika1980's) posts (and that, folks, is someone who's sharing some really, REALLY excellent photos), she's taken to attempting to copy his style of a using a clever(?) subject and lead-in to the post... except where Brett excels at this, Rita fails miserably. Worse is that where Brett averages a pic maybe every couple of weeks, Rita manages at least a couple per day. It gets a little tired and there's really nothing that lets one stand out from the next at that rate. And of course, she goes on at length touting the amazing properties of her marvelous D3 while openly slagging other comers, particularly the Canons, yet nothing she's posted yet lends any foundation to this bashing. The most obvious case of this is the "best viewed at full size" tag below every photo... yet "full size" appears to be 1024x768 or less. She wants to amaze us with the clarity and crispness of her wonderful Nikkor glass vs. Brett's Canon L-series lenses, but has yet to actually offer anything where this quality would BE visible even IF it was there. Her 1000mm shots may be the greatest thing ever committed to CCD, but we'd never be able to tell from the over-processed thumbnails she provides. Brett, meanwhile, regularly provides full-scale, uncropped versions of his 40D shots. In short, she needs to put up, or shut up. |
