Canon Digital Ixus - replacing broken CF card cover
The small hook which holds the CF card cover closed on my Canon
Digital Ixus V2 broke the other day, and before I got out the superglue I searched usenet and the web and couldn't find any useful info. For anyone else, this part is available in the UK from H. Lehmann on 01782 413611 for £7.50 including vat and postage. Replacing the cover is simple, loosen the two small screws either side of the hinge pin, and you can then gently prise the old flap out, swap the pin and springs over to the new flap, and retighten the screws. I assume this is the same part for Canon Ixus, Ixus V, Ixus V2, and Ixus V3, the newer models now use SD cards under the battery flap, which is probably a more robust solution anyway !! Hope this is useful info for someone else ! James. |
