digital combination
What digital combination would give the equivalent of a 35mm slr with a
80 - 200 mm lens. I primarily shoot people walking in crowds. I was using a Nikon 35mm with a 80-200 zoom to isolate subjects. What is the digital equivalent / What would you recommend using to shoot people walking in digital? |

You're working for the CIA? ;-) I was using a Nikon 35mm with a 80-200 zoom to isolate subjects. What is the digital equivalent / What would you recommend using to shoot people walking in digital? I did some similar shots with a Canon 20D with a 75-300mm which were quite ok. Kind regards robert |

For your somewhat remote approach, the Nikon 24-120 f/3.5-5.6 would fit pretty close but is not as fast as the 80-200 f/2.8's... it compensates somewhat with VR. I have no idea how competent this lens is optically, but the 5:1 zoom ratio suggestes it might not be terriby good. You might be better served by an 85 or 135 prime and crop from there.
