NEEDED Affordable Wedding Photographer Philadelphia PA
I live and am getting married in the Philadelphia Area Saturday, July
25, 2005. Wedding and reception are in Bryn Athyn, PA. We would like to have a digital photographer take 5-6 hours of photos on our big day. We would prefer someone a bit more artistic and a bit less traditional. I want all the digital images (preferably on a CD) so that I can edit/create/print my own album. Are there any recommendations? |

Try asking on craigslist in the "gigs" section (http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/), I'm pretty sure a couple wedding shooters that monitor that. Unfortunately, I'll be in Maryland shooting at a camp from the 22nd to the 31st, or I'd give you a bid. At the cheapest, you're probably looking at $300 for a student or hobbiest. Maybe $800 for a really good shooter with good equipment. Most pros don't like doing "cd only" jobs, as they make their money from prints and albums. -- Whatevah / Jerry Horn Jerry {at} Whatevah.com (working address) Freelance Photography and Web services. spambait: |

Good morning;
I agree that you may not find a full time professional who would do your photography & only get paid for a CD of all images ... unless the price was high enough to offset the lost orders. I am a full time pro and would think if you offered them an amount equal to an average order total you might find someone. You can try going to www.ppaofpa.org which is the web site for the state professional photography group or looking up the website for the Guild of the Delaware Valley which is a smaller group in the Philly area. Just a thought ... a lot of pros offer you lots of input into how your album would be set up and arranged as well as the type book, color, design style, and title. You would absolutely get the best possible quality allowing a pro finish the album ...especially if you were thinking about printing on an ink jet. All of my digital files are printed by the pro color lab. Good luck; Craig |

Craig & Jerry - Thanks for the info...
I will continue my hunt... On another note: Is anyone familiar with lulu.com? I was considering using my digital photos to create pdf's and printing some coffee books. Has anyone printed with them? What kind of quality can I expect? |

I don't know about the quality, but with no minimum order, and no setup fee,
it can't cost anything to print a short book and see. scott "NatalieLynn" wrote in message oups.com... Craig & Jerry - Thanks for the info... I will continue my hunt...
