superclamp or plamp
Hi all,
Im looking for something to hold reflectors and/or plants steady. I was looking at buying a plamp but I'm not to impressed with the price of the thing, so started to look for alternatives. I found that a flexible extension is available for the Manfrotto Superclamp. Manfrotto seem to make a clip but it looks like it mounts directly to the Superclamp rather than on the end of the flexi arm. I'd rather have a superclamp system as I can use it for other uses in the future. Anyone using such a system or know if it will work ? Many Thanks Adam |

Really depends on the weight or strain that you'll have on the clamp. -- -- r.p.e.35mm user resource: http://www.aliasimages.com/rpe35mmur.htm -- r.p.d.slr-systems: http://www.aliasimages.com/rpdslrsysur.htm -- [SI] gallery & rulz: http://www.pbase.com/shootin -- e-meil: Remove FreeLunch. |

I have a plamp, and it is really quite light. I have no problem throwing it in a backpack with my 4x5 gear. I would have a problem with a superclamp (I do have one), which is heavy and one would still need a flexible arm. Roger |

superclamp or plamp
Thanks guys, I have kept on looking today and found a small clamp with
flexible arm on sale in Maplins which looks like it could be useful, they also have small plastic clamps which could be mounted on the end with a bit of fiddling. Gonna pop out to Maplins tomorrow and check them out ! Cheers......Adam "Alan Browne" wrote in message ...
