Default Mounting 80mm Enlarger Lens over Pentax 6x7 - Any Ideas How?

Hi,

I am shooting macro images and have just bought a used Pentax 6x7
body, no lens. Instead of using Pentax's lens, I'll be placing an
80mm El-Nikkor enlarging lens over the P67. The coverage of the lens
is large enough and the image it throws on the film plane looks nice
and sharp at the right distance - so technically no problem here,
except I'm not sure how to mount the lens to hold it in place. (Just
a minor practical problem I failed to think through.)I'm thinking of
building a threaded ring so I can adjust the distance of the lens from
the film by turning the lens. Can anyone suggests places where I can
buy the parts or materials which I can adapt for my purposes? Thanks.

Another way would be to take a Pentax 67 body cap and have a machinist
bore it out to accept the Rodenstock Modular Focus tube. This is used
mainy to mount Leica thread or 32.5mm thread lenses to 35mm cameras or C
mount cameras. But would work on 2 1/4 with the proper adaptation to
adapt it to the camera. 25mm long extension tubes are made for it to get
the proper distance for infinity focus.

However enlarging lenses are not the best quality for infinity work.
They are excellent for macro, especially when reversed. Don't forget to
block off the illuminated aperture port or you may get funny colors on
your film.

Tech call! Are we supposed to remove the paper from the roll first? We can
posit a dozen advantages to leaving it on or off, then we can argue about
the merits of scented, plain, double and single ply. Finally we can whine
that the advertising image of cute huggable toy bears diminishes our serious
dedication to hardware.

You missed what seems to be an obvious issue. Needing to paint the inside
flat black. Leaving the paper on would be a positive I think. It would
provide a soft comfortable hand hold. Help make sure the tube is light
tight. I'd avoid scented. Who knows what chemicals are used and how they
might react with everything else.

Heresy! Only black flocking paper would be appropriate. Wait, I wonder if we
just didn't stumble across a new product: black flocked toilet paper.

I expect the light pipe that illuminates the aperture ring will add some
flare light. I don't know how significant this will be.

I would think Pentax makes a bellows set for macro work.
