Default CF Card Error

Hello everyone,

Recently I purchased a minolta dimage 7hi, as my first digital camera...
actually my first camera period. I love it. It's amazing. What isn't amazing
is the Lexar 'Professional' CF2 1GB card that I purchased off of ebay. Okay
communal groan, I know.

Anyway, here are the symptoms.

When the camera has shot about 90MB of photos, I get a CF card error. After
this, no photos can be taken.

In the external card reader on my computer, scandisk, and easyrecovery pro
find no errors with the CF card.

I've formatted the card, no dice.
I tried to copy a 600MB video file to it from the computer... IO Error.
Scandisk, still nothing.

I don't know what else to try before calling Lexar and begging (Since
warrantee requires original receipt, which I don't have), so any suggestions
are greatly appreciated.

Thank you all,

~ Ian

Why trust any recovery? If you can't get an exchange from your eBay seller,
maybe you could buy another and return the dud

Yeah, that's last on my list, as being a 'poor starving student' doesn't
leave much room in the budget for $300 deficit...
Meh, might be my only option.

Thanx for the suggestion.
