Default Would an SD card work in a SDHC device?

I have a 2GB SD card. I am eyeing a camcorder that supports SDHC
cards. Is it safe to assume my SD card would work in the camcorder?

Thanks for your time.

The SDHC standard is downward compatible to the SD standard and 2 GB cards
are fairly recent, so it will probably have a fast enough write speed not to
cause problems.

Both SD and SDHC can be slow and fast, the difference is really huge. They
should be compatible of course. I'm able to use any SD/SDHC card in D80
regardless of the card speed and size, the set that I tested was 64 MB, 256
MB, 512 MB, 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB.

Maybe to be absolutely sure it's better to find the developer site and see
if this device supports these types.

Just D.
