flash accessories

I am looking at Lumiquest flash accessories. Which one is good for large
indoor situation, with no wall or ceil for bouncing?

I've found that if the flash has a tilting head, the palm of the hand as
reflector works just about as well as the higher priced spread.

Doesn't the skin alter the color?

I like a 5x7 card and a rubber band myself.

Not so I ever noticed, but I don't use on-camera flash for 1 shot in
250 now, so seldom need to bounce. Most of my hand use was with TriX,
PlusX and similar films, so color balance wasn't a problem.


That's interesting. I never saw anyone bounce off thier hand!

The Sunpak flash I'm using now has a small bounce plate built into the
accessory zoom head, which is pretty handy. I've done some A/B tests with
straight flash and 75 degree bounced off the little (1.5 x 3 inch) plate
It's amazing how much difference such a small change in lighting makes.
