It really is Rubbish. Just have a look at this section which I quote below.

So, you need a camera which can take pictures at an extremely close range,
say within 12 inches of the object. Thus, a camera consisting of 3-4 mega
pixel is suitable for such purposes.


I don't quite see the relevance of pixel count to close focussing ability.

The article is entirely made up of such illogical advice, and seems to have
been written by someone who knows considerably less than the average Dixon's
assistant. (UK joke).
