Help wanted from Epson users
Hi, I am using the Epson Stylus Photo 1280 printer and am generalyl
delighted with it. This is my second Epson Stylus Photo - I upgraded from the 910. However, on both printers I have found an issue which is very irritating. When I print borderless (ie. No Margins option selected) the print head travels beyond the edge of the paper, depositing ink in the printer itself. I'm sure I have made all the right selections before printing and the pictures have been cropped to exactly the size of the paper anyway. This is not only irritating - it is also worrying because I can't imagine having ink deposits inside the printer is going to prolong it's life. It also involves me using some absorbant paper to soak up as much of the ink as possible after each print. The head doesn't travel far over the edge - maybe a maximum of a centimetre - and it does it on the sides as well as on the top and bottom. Has anybody else experienced this - and does anybody know how to stop it? Thanks |

that happen with my 2100 too. I beleive it has a pad to absorb the excess
ink, which needs changing every so often. I'd be surprised if teh 1280 is much different "Mike" wrote in message ...
