Default Buy a used G2, or a voigtlander with the future Zeiss ZM mount lens?

Hello,

What could be the more interesting choice.

1-Buy a used G2 with planar 45/2 now (how can it cost approximately)
2-Wait for the coming out of the Zeiss Ikon and ZM mounts lenses ans buy
a G2 and planar 45/2 (hoping the new hardware will lower the price of
the used Contax camera and lens)

You might be right about that. The new Zeiss Ikon could hurt some sales of
the Contax G2. However, remember that the G2 is an autofocus camera, while
the Zeiss Ikon will only be manual focus. Some people will still want
autofocus rangefinder, a realm that only the Contax G2 addresses. Anyway,
another half year, and used Contax G2 prices might be even lower.

3-Wait for the coming out of the Zeiss Ikon and ZM mounts lenses and buy
a bessa R2a and planar 45/2 Zeiss ZM mounts lens. By the way do you have
an idea of the future planar 45/2 lens price ?

No idea on prices, but I did compare the new Zeiss Ikon lenses to the
Contax G system lenses, and while they are similar designs, none are the
same. That indicates to me that the final images would differ between both
systems, though I have no idea if the differences would be noticeable.

All i want is to get the best optical quality a the lower price. Sure
i'm always a bit anxious to buy an used hardware.

I think you should ask yourself if you want autofocus, or manual focus.
That is a bigger comparison of the two systems you mention than any other
factors.

Thank you for your advises

My preference is for manual focus. I tried a Contax G2, and while I found
it to be a high quality product, I did not like the manual focus method,
with a small LCD arrow as focus confirmation. If there was a G3 with manual
focus, I would have been more interested, though I think the Zeiss Ikon
might be going in that direction. Without seeing one, and trying one out,
it is tough to tell you to wait for one.
