Default back in the hood, questions about HB prisms

First time I've posted here in some years.

Finally putting my old darkroom back together after five years
without. New house, children, life have postponed it far too long.
Also I will soon be the owner of Hasselblad again; had to sell mine in
the late 80s and have missed it sorely ever since. I've fooled around
with digital, but with b&w, it just doesn't cut it for me. Gimme MF, a
hand-held meter, film and a darkroom!

Do you all have any preferences/observations about 45 deg unmetered
prisms for a HB 500CM?

How do the NC2 and PM types compare in brightness, coverage, bulk?

The NC-2 type from Kiev seems highly regarded. Do they also make a PM
type?

I'm a hobbyist, have a favorite meter, b&w only, mostly outdoors.

Thanks,

Pat

I have a Russian copy of the NC-2 45 prism as well as a Hasselblad 90
finder, and there is a difference but not a cool thousand dollars
difference. The view in the Soviet model shows some optics (minor
reflections of internals) at the edges of the frame, but they don't bother
me. I've found the prism to be very worthwhile even with very long lenses.
Former Soviet finder: maybe $100. Hasselblad: $1,100. No brainer!

I never cared for the 45-degree job. I made you hold the camera in an
unnatural position.

Stop with the tempting one-liners.
