Default Canon D30 lens question

I've seen some 18-55 EF-S lenses at auction that say that they fit only the
Digital Rebel and D20.
If true, what is the reason they wouldn't fit a D30?
Thanks
Bill

20D & Rebel have a different lens mount.

The rear element of the EF-S lenses extends slightly farther into the body
than the regular EF mount lenses, interfering with the movement of the
mirror. The RebelD and the 20D have slightly smaller mirrors than the other
EF mount cameras. EF mount lenses will work with all the digital Canon
bodies, but the EF-S is limited. In other words, all of the lenses that
I've used on my A2, 1n and D30 will work on my 20D, but the 18-55 that we
got with my wife's 20D will only work on that body.

Not different from each other, but different from other EOS cameras,
in that they can accept EF-S lenses. If I understand Mark correctly.

Sometimes it only makes sense to focus our attention on those
questions that are equal parts trivial and intriguing.

Oops, I meant D30 has a different mount from the 20D & Rebel.
