Default Mail order for cameras

My last two digital cameras(Finepix s5000 & Finepix a310) I got mail
order. The prices were good, and the cameras were new and with a us
warranty. I lost the s5000 and the a310 is broken.

I am looking to replace both of them. I can't even recall the mail
order company I got the first two from, and I got them from different
vendors. In my search on the internet, I came up with a wide span of
prices on these cameras. The lowest was with WAWAdigital. Their prices
are real low. Has anybody had an dealings with this company?

Also, what company would be recommended for good prices and service. I
would like to get a good price, and also good service.

Thanks in advance,

ceh

In the US, BHPHOTOVIDEO is often recommended, there are a few others.

Have you looked at www.resellerratings.com ?

I just ordered a Nikon D1x used from Adorama. They were pretty good to deal
with. So is KEH Camera Brokers, I trade with them a lot. I also like Roberts
Distributing ok.

Are you a gambler?

http://www.resellerratings.com/seller9573.html

Doesn't look real good! Beware of prices too low to be believed.

These are the only ones I ever recommend for mail/internet ordering:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com
http://www.adorama.com

I've also had good dealings with http://www.canogacamera.com.

Maybe not the lowest prices, but you'll get exactly what you order and no
pressure to buy additional accessories at inflated prices.

2 things. Always check resllers like these at resellerratings.com, as
is suggested in another reply.
Get something called a "filing cabinet" and some "file folders". When
you buy something important/expensive, put the paperwork in a folder
and write on the little tabby thing at the top the camera name or the
vendor name or something so, when you need to know something about it,
you can find the folder.
Hope this helps in your world.

I've used www.buydig.com for several purchases and never been disappointed.

Never heard of that company...
I use B & H for all internet purchases. I can't comment about the other
recommended sites because I see no need to fix what isn't broken.

Brad

These kinds of posts amuse me. Some people seem to think that if they
had a good, or several good, experiences with a store, it must be a
good store. Just like people thinking if they had a bad experience, it
must be a bad store. I would think that common sense would tell us that
every vendor still in business must have had some satisfied customers,
or they'd be out of business. People like Brad can't comprehend that
even though THEY had a good experience(s), doesn't mean that the store
is dependable. THEY are not the only customer for that store! And some,
even many, of the others may have had a terrible experience. THEY can't
comprehend that THEY might have been lucky and not had a bad experience
(yet) with that store.
I checked resellerratings on Buydig. At first glance, they looked ok.
They're overall lifetime rating is 8.29. Not good, but ok. Basically
it means that I have a 1 in 6 chance of being dissatisfied with this
store. That may be good enough for Brad, but not for me.
If you look further, you can see that their 6 month rating is 7.98
