It applies to to whole Bronica line. The only good side is that used
Bronica gear should be a lot lower in cost.

Unfortunately they've been on the ropes for quite some time.
Just haven't been able to compete with Mamiya and Hasselblad even
though the Bronicas are hands-down better.

BTW, I like the part that says

"Repair service will continue for seven years as is mandated by law.
Any new Bronica SLR equipment purchased after October 31, 2004 — the
official date of discontinuation — (through Tamron or any dealer by
11/15/04 or any dealer thereafter) will carry a one year limited
warranty from date of purchase. However, all warranty and
out-of-warranty repair service obligations will cease on October 31,
2011, regardless of purchase date. Customers can contact Tamron's
Service Department at 1-800-827-8880 with any repair or parts
concerns."

Hmmmm, just got to love those "limited" warranties !

And yes, I do use a RB67. Had Bronica ever wised up and made
the GS-1 a vertical format I probably would have used that.As it is,
the RB is a tank and should last until Kodak, Ilford et.al stop
producing 120. And I did get the shop manuals from Henry in that trade
for that POS of a 645 ;))

Yep. Too bad but I'm not surprised. Seems that 'the customer' will
accept the quality of a Canon 10D or a Nikon D1X and the photographer
can have such a larger profit margin using digital over MF.No need for
paper proofs. Just let the customer view them on a website and order
what they want. After all, a professional is looking to put money on
the table and please the customer. If digital does that, well, film's
gonna hafta go..

Too bad but that is just the nature of things. Tamron didn't see much
future profit in Bronica sales. They are a nice camera. I'm really
wondering how much longer Hasselblad will hang in there. They do have
their H1 but have discontinued their 200 series cameras The 500 series
are still hanging in there but, who knows?
