You know nothing, as you continually demonstrate. Perhaps
you can prove me wrong about the ban by posting something on
dpreview?

From your abrupt cessation I a few weeks ago assume you
can't:

PS: I have only once made a complaint about you, and that
was a long time ago before I realised you were more useful
for amusement purposes.

Poster on dpreview: "What about the magneta colouring issue?"
Olympus who "You moron, you don't know what you are talking about,
you are a troll!!!"
And who wrote that then?
A paraphrase. A combination of posts from the "defend Olympus at all
costs" types that exist on that group. Who in one form or another
suffer from "three monkeys" syndrome.

Ok, you made it up just as I knew you had.

Incidentally how's the ban progressing? Surely all this
vitriol and frustrated teenager rage about dpreview can't be
just down to being banned can it?

Diddums, mommy kiss it better.

What ban? The one the rat pack instigated? I never really was
100% sure who it was, but now at least I know you were part of it.
And when I asked about it, you didn't speak up, did you, coward? As
soon as the Olympus E-3 comes out, I'm going to test it to death
against the competition, and I don't care if it gives all the fanboys
apoplexy, I'll call a spade a spade when it comes to its performance.
Lets hope the rest of you have the integrity to do the same and not
just to engage in lock-step boosterism unless its performance warrants
it

And you know what? no-one here will give a flying f*ck what your
opinion is.

Dpreview is quick to ban without any recourse. I was banned because
I posted a link to first shots made with Sony cameras, one of the
pics, out of several hundred , had a lady baring her bosom, a prude
objected and complained, the result I am banned from the Forum
discussion, no explanations or discussion allowed by the owners
of the site. There is a work around, however.

And after you've tested it to death you'll give it back to the clerk
at Henry's. It's not like you're actually planning to buy one. Don't
worry, nobody expects you to.

B-b-but what about "real world" shooting? The same imbecilic comments
you hear from people who simply can't understand real testing. Then,
the Oly fanboys will post 800x600 pixel shots online as a testament to
the camera's quality!!!!! MORONS!!! And when you call them on it,
they'll freak out, as usual.

Any idea when we can expect updated "test shots" of a camera bag
display? I'm sure you know when the E-3 (or whatever it's gonna be
called) hits the streets.

TR

No one knows. First it was late Aug, then Sept, now I'm hearing maybe
Oct-Nov.

Yes, this (from Fred Miranda) is EXACTLY the kind of thing that makes
Olympus fag-er-fanboys foam at the mouth.
A opinion, posted to an Oly forum, that wasn't droolingly positive?
Heresy!!

The first line is mine, the rest likely from a Canon FF user.

Olympus is firmly ensconsed in the camp that says the average user doesn't want primes, except maybe as telephotos, unfortunately.

"Which is exactly why Olympus hasn't really succeeded and won't
succeed in the DSLR market. It will never be more than an average and
ordinary because that is all the strive for. The system does not
distinguish itself. There is no path up and out of the ordinary and
mass-oriented for the demanding elite, expert and specialist customer.

In many ways, the choice of, and adherence to, the 4/3'rds format
shows the same orientation -- focused on the entry and mid-level mass
market.

While they will certainly have their fans (those that really need/like
a lot of DOF, among others) all this comes down to Olympus never being
any more than a bit player in the DSLR market."

If you ever want anyone to take you seriously Rich I think you best think
before posting some of the purile drivel that you post, I guess that will
never happen so all I can suggest is that you occasionally press the cancel
button sometimes, that will help.

Look to the image posts from Ben Herrmann about halfway down the

I recall you recently told me to I was a coward and dared me
to "say that in the dpreview Olympus forum" when I was
critical of Olympus viewfinders. Maybe you should practice
what you preach and do the same, instead of regurgitating
your crap here.

Aren't you one of the Dpreview Olympus forum Gestapo? Stamping out
criticism at every turn?
You know that the forum is gaining notoriety as being a haven for
rabid, intolerant fanboys, even off dpreview?

Only in the minds of lying ****wited trolls like you. It's
easy for anyone who wants to check, I use my real name both
there and here.

Curious that you use Usenet to cast asperations about someone who
keeps us informed while behaving yourself on a moderated forum. Is
there any possibility you might be a troll yourself?
