....or how to disconnect the electricity in half of a city. That is the
control panel of the 150 kV high voltage circuit breaker that supplies
half of Iraklion with electricity. On the top left two little switches,
that have ABB on them, turn the top one to local, the bottom one to
trip, and get ready for a schock because the noise the CB emits is like
cannon fire!

a photo of the tap-changing mechanism of one of the 2 150/15kV
transformers of this very substation, used in the AVR feature of the
said transformer, usually it's done fully automatically.

All photos were scanned slides except the girl in the red jacket which
is a negative. All scanned with my Rollei scanner.
