Like fasting for 12 hours is a big deal. Eat dinner at 6PM and

go
to the lab at 7AM, have blood tested, go to breakfast.

Oh, I forgot, you neglected to get a doctor's order for test.

OK, go
by the doctor's office at 8AM, get the order, and have

breakfast at
9:30 AM. That's the way sane people would go about it.

The doctor's office forgot to send the order to the lab. It was a
Saturday. the lab was open, but the doctor's office was not. I

not at fault in all this, or I wouldn't have mentioned it to

you go

I always verify anything important before acting in reliance on

it.

It wasn't, "important", but it certainly illustrates what is wrong

with the
medical system we have here in the US today. And the "Obama plan"

doesn't
even address it. They (and you) are so steeped in Socialism that

they don't
even recognize it as a problem.

If it wasn't important, why did you make such a fuss?

I never made, "such a fuss". I only related the incident to illustrate a
point. The point being that those who pay the bill should be in charge. Its
my life. My treatment by the doctors of my choice. and I should be the one
calling the shots. Why is that so hard for you liberals to understand?

If they didn't do the test, there was no bill.

The next time you go to work, tell your boss that you feel like going home,
If he says, "I need more notice than this". Just say well, just don't bother
to pay me for that day.

LOL

I think "no shoes - no shirt - no service" is a closer analogy.

There are two parties in any transaction, and either can decline to
take part for any reason not proscribed by law.

Yes, but the thing is, I have already paid for their service. The health
insurance company reaches into my bank account and automatically takes their
premium out every month. All my other bills are paid that way too, but by MY
order, and not my creditors order. Only my health insurance is paid by THEIR
order. - I wonder why that is?

I can think of few things that will ruin a good sushi meal than some
hairy guy in a tank top, dripping with sweat, sitting near you.
